Émigré—featuring Megan Drollinger (fiddle), Saro Lynch-Thomason (vocals), and Austin Gregory (guitar/bouzouki)—will bring you a robust mix of Irish & Scots-Gaelic folk songs, lively fiddle tunes, old ballads, and more. Connect with the history and folklore of the islands, sing along with us, and dance if you’re so inclined!
We’ll gather for a potluck at 5pm for those who want to come early and eat together. After the show, we’ll keep the energy going with music, dancing, and hanging out.
Weather permitting, Émigré will perform on our back patio. If the weather turns, we’ll move into our spacious basement—either way, it’ll be cozy!
You’re invited to dress in green (for the land), blue (for the ocean), and red (for the spirit of sovereignty and Irish independence).
About Émigré:
Émigré performs music tracing the diaspora of the Irish and Scots across the ocean to North America. Their repertoire includes ballads and fiddle tunes from Great Britain and Ireland, songs from French-speaking Canada, and melodies familiar to both Appalachia and the North Atlantic. The band’s name honors the dispersal of people, ideas, and music that resulted from centuries of emigration—and the unique sounds created when these traditions met others from a world away. Émigré’s sound is characterized by rich vocal melodies in Scots-Gaelic, French, and English, dynamic fiddle playing, and driving guitar accompaniment.
